Built
in 1889 by Hulda's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theil, the
house was later sold to Hulda and her husband, Frank
Klager, for one dollar.
The house is only open to visitors
during our special events (Lilac Days) and contains many of the original
furnishings, as well as featured displays of handmade
quilts, artwork, antiques, and collectibles,
which change
yearly.
There are hostesses in each room to answer questions
about the furnishings and memorabilia on display, and
we also raffle a special item each year
to raise money for Lilac Gardens.
